Government's perspective of a Compromise Agreement
Compromise Agreements were created by the UK Government and are generally very standard in terms of wording.
As "creatures of statute" there are certain clauses which must be included in the Agreements to ensure they are legally binding and the employee must be independently legally advised, most commonly at the employer's expense.
